Cowgirls Lose Final Home Game

The Cowgirls hung tough with the #15 ranked SDSU Aztecs. The Cowgirls kept the game close but ultimately couldn’t finish it out. Alison Gorrell finished with her career high 16 points leading the Cowgirls tonight. The Cowgirls are on the road for their next two games taking on BSU and TCU.

We had so much success with our first caption contest, we are starting another one. This time, the picture features Sophomore Kaylee Hoffman playing some in your face defense on CSU Senior Kim Mestdagh in the Cowgirls epic overtime win on Saturday. Cowgirls Beat CSU in Overtime!

What an amazing game. The Cowgirls battled with the CSU Rams the whole game and ended up winning in overtime. With a last second three pointer by Chaundra Sewell (her first of the season) the Cowgirls forced overtime. The Cowgirls remained in control through the entire extended period never losing their lead. Junior Ashley Sickles hit a shot clock buzzer beater 3 to give the Cowgirls their final push for the win. A caption contest is a fun way for our fans to interact with our website and show their creativity. The winners will be chosen by Head Coach Joe Legerski and staff, and will be featured on cowgirlbasketball.com! The winner will also receive a copy of the photo, with his/her caption. It will also be personalized and signed by Head Coach Joe Legerski and the Cowgirls.
